C Danny Kelly .284 AVG in May
1B Charlie Murdock .360 AVG, 9 dingers and 27 RBI in May
UTIL IF Cale O-Brien contributing well with a .330 AVG and .398 OBP in May, a welcomed surprise with the floundering Mesa finding himelf in AAA
OF Lee Brouthers is pitching in quite well with 5 RBI in 8 games, mind you only batting .192
DH Antonio Garza found his stroke hitting .302 and knock out 5 with 13 RBI in May
Good ole OF Zach Hutchinson is back to being a monster in May, batting .333 and a .402 OBP, 6 HR and 21 RBI
Sadly, the Beavers lost the catalyst to most of their offense this past week. Damien Yates went down for 5 weeks with a partially torn labrum. He, in May, was batting at a .297 clip, .375 OBP, 4 HR and 11 SB in May. He will be missed for the rest of May and all of June.
But brought up to hopefully keep the offense rolling will be former D-Bag OF Joe"The Douching Beaver" Henderson. Down on the farm in AAA, Henderson has been pelting (haha, get it, pelting?) opposing pitching with a .342 AVG, .443 OBP 28 RBI and 17 SB.
May was also a good month for pitchers on the Island,
SP Jimmy Sanders was 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA
Rookie SP Katsuhiko Takaki was 4-1 with a 1.87 ERA giving up 0 HR!
SP Harvey "Rowdy" Phillips went 2-2 with a 2.49 ERA and 22 K
MR Wayne Poole had 7 appearances while having a 0.00 ERA
With the loss of Damien Yates, the lineups have shifted to something that will look like this
