Beavers look to old balls to help out offense.

With the recent demotion of SP Nick Reed freeing up a spot on the active roster GM Aaron Blank has decided to call up an experienced OF.

Lee Brouthers

Filling the need for another LH power bat in the line-up, Brouthers fits that mould.

Brouthers has had a good career in the BSA so far, in the inaugural draft in 2010 he was taken by Madison.  He has two 20+ HR seasons there before being shipped to hell-hole LA mid-way through 2012 where he hit an abismal .220 AVG, while still knocking out 17 jacks. He was then again a platoon bat for LA in 2013, hitting .225 with 5 HR.

He spent ST in 2014 with Cleveland but was immediately released before the season started.

Then he wanted a Beaver....err wanted to become a Beaver (Yea, that's right)

He promptly signed a minor league deal with the Iqaluit-based franchise and in 21 games and 69 AB at AAA Waba he has batted .275, with 7 HR and 15 RBI with 17 BB.  With those stats its clear he deserves another shot at the bigs.

Look for him to get every 2nd start in LF vs RHP.
